The 65th annual Grammy Awards will take place this Sunday live from Los Angeles on CBS and Paramount+. Music’s Biggest Night is sure to be filled with amazing performances and some special surprises. The explosive lineup of performers include Bad Bunny, Lizzo, Mary J. Blige, Steve Lacy, and Luke Combs to name just a few.

Recently departed The Daily Show host and 2020 Grammy nominee for Best Comedy Album Trevor Noah will take on hosting duties for this year’s telecast. The awards show will be broadcast live on Paramount+ in addition to its traditional home on CBS so it should interesting to see what goes down on the streaming service during commercials.

This year’s show features some new categories with the addition of Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical) and Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games among others. The award for songwriter of the year (non-classical) seems like an award that is way overdue and one that would have been dominated by the likes of Dianne Warren and Max Martin over the years. The inaugural nominees for the award are Amy Allen (King Princess, Lizzo, Sabrina Carpenter), Nina Charles (Beyoncé, Megan the Stallion, Dua Lipa), Tobias JesseJr. (Harry Styles, Adele, FKA Twigs), The Dream (Beyoncé, Pusha T) and Laura Veltz (Maren Morris, Demi Lovato). The nominees for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games includes Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok, Call of Duty Vanguard, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Old World

The 65th addition of the Grammy Awards is the culmination of all of the hard work that thousands and thousands put into creating the best music of the last year from across the world. Below are my predictions for some of the people I believe will be taking home gold on Music’s Biggest Night. Predicted winners in italics.
