Pour One Out for Mike D’Antoni’s Ear, Damn

Can someone please help Mike D'Antoni?

Hell of a game last night. It was close and entertaining all the way into the 4th quarter before the Los Angeles Lakers really bowed up and flexed on the Houston Rockets. It kinda felt like a shift in the dynamic of the series, too.

In the process, LeBron James became the NBA’s all-time leader in playoff wins. That’s right – nobody has won more playoff games than King James. Haters will say it’s fake. Or, there will be excuses from the anti-LeBron crowd in some capacity. But, any time you’re the all-time leader in just about anything in your sport, that’s a historic milestone. I make no bones about it – I’m rooting for this guy.

‘Playoff Rondo’ showed up big time, and while he put 21 points on the board, it was a series of clutch, ICY three point shots later in the game that really helped the Lakers drive the final nail into the coffin for the Rockets last night. It just looked like this Lakers team had had enough and decided to put their foot on the throat in the 4th. I don’t know how the Rockets respond to that kind of defense.

Whether or not the Rockets are dead in this series remains to be seen, but one thing that we do know for a cold hard fact is dead is Mike D’Antoni’s fucking ear. Look at this shit!

Mike, dude….WTF?!

No wonder this Rockets team looked so discombobulated late in the game. Their head coach probably had no idea what was going on because he couldn’t feel his ear!

It HAS to be hard to focus like that. I mean, the thing’s ripped – can’t the NBA afford to get my man a new one? Don’t they have a surplus of those things in the bubble right now? WHY IS MIKE D’ANTONI WEARING A BUSTED ASS MASK!?!?

I can definitely relate, though, as a fellow dude with a big head – there are some masks out there that will completely chew up my ear. The difference is I’m not a head coach in the NBA. That thing looks mangled – we may be mourning the loss of the 2019-20 Rockets championship hopes before long, but we definitely gotta pour one out for Mike D’Antoni’s ear.
