A brewery has recently popped up in Donelson, Tennessee, adding to the growing charm of the neighborhood. We’ve seen a few new restaurants succeed in the area, but it was time for a brewery to serve the folks of Donelson. I’m glad TennFold Brewing stepped up.

The building is a bit unassuming from the outside, but the dining area is very spacious. They also offer a ton of outdoor pet-friendly seating that I will be frequenting in the cooler months. If a business can boast indoor and outdoor space that keeps people spread out, I’m typically on board, even when there isn’t a pandemic.

TennFold Brewing’s beer list is definitely impressive and shows off some very unique flavors. I went with the Blind Hawk Bitters ESB and kept coming back for more. The flavors included fresh baked bread, honey, and dried dark fruit. It honestly sounds like one of the most medieval beers you could drink.

A few other noticeable brews include the Blessed Rains IPA that is on the bitter side with piney flavors mixed with notes of passion fruit, guava, and melon. If you enjoy stouts, TennFold pours one called the Line Bender that is brewed with cocoa nibs, lactose, and raspberry puree.

Now, the pizza at TennFold is just as impressive as the beer. The menu includes Neapolitan and New York style depending on your preference. There’s a chorizo pizza that comes with jalapenos, shallots, and peaches. I was wishing I was on vegan vacation when SoBro’s own Mose and Haley ordered that beautiful pie. Their faces said all I needed to know.

Jesse and I went back to test the waters and ordered the House Pickled Vegetables pizza, but asked them to hold the cheese. I know some of you will probably stop reading this review now and forever judge me- that’s fine. Anyhow, it was incredible. The pizza had red sauce, pickled carrots, parsnips, cabbage, celery, and cauliflower. The crust was thin, crunchy, and everything a crust should be.

There’s obviously countless more beer and food options on the TennFold brewing menu that I didn’t mention, but that just means you need to check out for yourself. They are offering to-go purchases as well. I will definitely be pitching it to my friends for a bite and beer from now on.
