Alright, ladies and gentlemen – it’s officially NFL schedule release day! I mean, this is about as exciting as football talk in May gets, right?!?! There’s been some high drama out on the football Twitter streets. But, it’s time for the moment of truth – here’s the Tennessee Titans 2020 schedule.

Tennessee Titans 2020 Schedule

  • Week 1: @ Denver Broncos (MNF)
  • Week 2: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Week 3: @ Minnesota Vikings
  • Week 4: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Week 5: vs. Buffalo Bills
  • Week 6: vs. Houston Texans
  • Week 7: BYE
  • Week 8: @ Cincinnati Bengals
  • Week 9: vs. Chicago Bears
  • Week 10: vs. Indianapolis Colts (TNF)
  • Week 11: @ Baltimore Ravens
  • Week 12: @ Indianapolis Colts
  • Week 13: vs. Cleveland Browns
  • Week 14: @ Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Week 15: vs. Detroit Lions
  • Week 16: @ Green Bay Packers
  • Week 17: @ Houston Texans

Gotta say – right off the bat, we knew that the list of opponents looked a lot more manageable than it did the last couple of years. Seeing how they fall, that looks pretty nice. I think the toughest games this year outside of those pesky divisional games are @ Denver, @ Minnesota, @ Baltimore, and @ Green Bay, and those are dispersed rather evenly throughout the season.

Now, that’s out of the way – I’m going to be a negative nelly.

I don’t like the all of the home games are front-loaded….especially after a season that concluded with us saying, “man, if they just didn’t have to go on the road the whole end of the season maybe things would’ve been different.” Five of the last seven games are on the road, and those include games against the Ravens, Colts, Packers, and Texans. I don’t like that, y’all! I would gladly exchange the Lions at home for one of those Packers/Ravens road games to happen in Nashville.

I’m pretty high on Buffalo this year, so I’m happy to see that game is happening at home. The Broncos are going to be one of the sexy teams in the AFC, and after they ended the season hot as hell, I’m happy that at least the Titans will get them early in the season before they have a chance to really kick it up a notch. Continuity is going to play a huge role in this season, and the Titans have virtually all of the ingredients that got ’em to the AFC Championship comin’ back. I wish the bye week was a week later, but that’s clearly a nitpick – otherwise, yeah – I think it shapes up pretty well. Those are my rambling word vomit thoughts on the schedule as I try to get this out as quickly as possible!

Just a shame that the Titans don’t have the chance to beat the Patriots this season….

…maybe in January….

….again.
