Grizzlies: R.I.P. to LeBron James

The Memphis Grizzlies squared off with the Los Angeles Lakers over the weekend, and unfortunately, it didn't end well for LeBron James.

The Memphis Grizzlies went into Saturday night’s home game, hosting the Los Angeles Lakers, in desperate need of a win. After losing five straight games, the Grizzlies were starting to loosen their grip on that 8th seed in the Western Conference. The New Orleans Pelicans and, oddly enough, the Sacramento Kings (who had beaten the Grizzlies twice during that five-game losing streak) are hot on their heels. Ja Morant went off for 27 points and 14 assists, as the Grizz handled their business against the Lakers, winning 105-88 in impressive fashion. The game didn’t sit well with the Lakers, but specifically, it didn’t go well for LeBron James, who appears to now be dead after this vicious foul.

“God as my witness, he is BROKEN IN HALF!” -Jim Ross, somewhere…probably.

Pour one out for LeBron James, folks. Rest in peace. You had a good run, bubba. One of the greatest of all time. In my opinion, the greatest athlete to ever play the sport. Yeah – I’m a big time LeBron guy. Don’t start the LeBron-Jordan debate with me. I hate it. But, even the most devout LeBron guy has to admit that this is hilariously bad.

Unless Dillon Brooks has a gun in his fingertips and just fired it off in that moment, I don’t see how this warrants a full on flop like that. I’m not even 100% sure that Brooks makes contact there! He might’ve just grazed that man’s beard.

Gotta love the announcers trying to sell this shit, too. “See him reaching up right there…hits him on the chin.”

Mr. James needs to take a page out of The Book of Big Natural, and #BeBetter next time, baby. Go Grizz.
