Tarik Cohen Points Out the Difference in Being Short and Being Small

It ain’t exactly the dream season the Chicago Bears had in mind. After overachieving big time in 2018, the Bears were poised to make a run in 2019. They still have the defense to do so, but man – that offense ain’t gettin’ it done. David Montgomery is the team’s leading rusher with 231 yards on the season. Tarik Cohen has only been given 20 carries for some reason, and the Bears just can’t seem to get the run game going.

Even worse, is the apparent regression of quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. What happened to the guy people were betting on to win NFL MVP back in the summer?!?! Look – the Bears aren’t cooked by any means. They’re 3-3, but the NFC is crowded. The only quality win they have on the season is a 16-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Otherwise, they’re losing to the NFL’s elite. It looks like that could just be who this team is this season.

Regardless, things got a little feisty on Sunday when members of the New Orleans Saints defense tried to troll Cohen because of his height. It’s kind of a microcosm of this Bears season so far.

So, the Barstool machine got ahold of this clip and shared it. In a tweet, Tarik Cohen replied with, “This tweet so stupid . Y’all act like i don’t know I’m short.” Then, in a later tweet, followed up with, “Buddy had a free hit. Didn’t smack shit, then got his ass ran over. I’m short. But he small as hell.”

Love it. Owning Barstool and the Saints guy (I admittedly also don’t know that guy’s name) within the matter of an hour. You do not fuck around with Tarik Cohen. Respect. Normally, I’m the one up here saying, “hey if you lose, you forfeit the right to talk shit.” But, in this case, it’s warranted. I didn’t see any excuse-making for losing the game. All I saw was Tarik Cohen calling people out for making fun of his height.

I mean, imagine how much this dude has heard that over the course of his football career? And yet, here he is – a dynamic weapon at the NFL level (even if this season hasn’t been going as expected).

It’s important to remember that there’s a distinction between being short and being small. I hope you’ve all learned that here today.
