Re-casting Road House with SUP Talent

It’s no secret that I absolutely love Road House. For me, it’s just the perfect movie to throw on, kick back, and quote along the way. I love it so much that I have jokingly made a few “recasting” lists on the Twitter over the last few months. Well the time for jokes is over as we lock in our official recast of Road House using the SUP roster. Pain don’t hurt.

Cabana Man Dan as Dalton: This just felt right. Much like Dalton, Dan is a legit badass, but due to his size, he may not be given his respect at first glance. Once we’ve got people being smashed by beer bottles and what not though, watch out for Dan/Dalton to cut loose.

Allie Kat as Dr. Elizabeth ‘Doc’ Clay: We need someone that’s both tough and beautiful i.e Allie. It doesn’t hurt knowing that when shit hits the fan, our Doc will be throwing out piledrivers if necessary.

Brett Ison as Wade Garrett aka Sam Elliot: Who else would you rather call in for some backup than The Pitbull? Brett looks like a hardened bar cooler/bouncer anyway. Just imagining the scenes between Brett and Dan has me ready to slap down some go fund me money.

AC Mack as Brad Wesley: Another one that just makes sense, though I feel like in negotiations, AC may want his character’s name changed to ‘AC Mack.” One thing Brad Wesley knew how to do was catch heat and my oh my that’s something AC does very well. I smell an Academy Award.

Jesse Butler as Cody: I can only think of one man that would nail this role and it’s Jesse. Expect a hardcore rendition of “When The Night Comes Falling From The Sky” as the credits roll.

Dominic Garrini as Frank Tilghman: This one was tough, but I went with Dom for a couple of reasons. The first being with the right outfit, Dom would look like a club owner, though admittedly a mean club owner. The second reason I chose him was simply for the early scene of Dom asking Dan for help ‘cooling’ his club. I just love that shit.

Uncle Byff as Red Webster: Well, Byff just strikes me as a guy that would rent out a barn apartment. That and Red/Byff have both seen some shit in their day, making this that much more right.

Manders as Morgan aka Terry Funk: This is a hard role to recast, but I feel this just fits. Manders is the guy we need for this Funkery. I know it and you know it so LFG.
