The wrestling world was taken by storm this week after a “fight” broke out between Joey Janela and the artist formerly known as Enzo Amore at a Blink 182 concert. So, of course, “The General” John Mosley HAD to hop on the latest episode of Checks and Championships to discuss the news and break down the scrap.
But, there’s plenty of actual wrestling to talk about beyond ‘Janela vs. Enzo’ – we catch up on AEW. The last time we recorded was before Fyter Fest, so Mose offers up his quick review of the show and we talk about whether or not AEW will employ the strategy to put the former WWE guys over hard as they debut on TNT later this year.
Plus, there’s the GCW backyard wrestling show that took place on the 4th of July that we discuss – namely, the meteoric rise of Alex Zayne after his knockdown dragout war with Tony Deppen, a match Mose says deserves ‘Match of the Year’ consideration. How has the wrestling community been sleeping on Zayne for so long?
