Podcast: The Jon Moxley Interview, SUP’s 6/2/19 Show

Wow – what a week in professional by God wrasslin’. First and foremost, it’s happy to be back on the wagon, recording Checks and Championships with my pal “The General” John Mosley.

This week, we dive right back into the Tennessee wrestling scene, previewing Sunday’s SUP show at The Basement East. There, SUP is going to crown their first ever SUP Tag Team Champions when They Might Be Giants (Cabana Man Dan and Marko Stunt) take on Violence Is Forever (Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku). Brett Ison is also going to defend the Bonestorm Championship against Allie Kat in what could be SUP’s biggest “homegrown” championship match to date to borrow a term from Dylan Hales. All of this, plus an A.C. Mack open challenge, Jeremy Wyatt vs. Jaden Newman, Craig Mitchell vs. Logan Stunt, Manders vs. Graham Bell, and James Bandy vs. Rockin Rivera.

Then, we get into the heavy shit – exploring the revelatory interview that Jon Moxley gave to Chris Jericho on the latest edition of Talk Is Jericho. How telling was it of the culture in WWE? Bigger picture, what does AEW have to to do sustain success? Is this the first crack in the dam? LOTS to unpack on this loaded episode.
