The New Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer Casually Drops the Term ‘Multiverse’ – LFG

Spider-Man: Far From Home will officially wrap up Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe when it hits theaters on July 2, 2019. This morning, Marvel released a new trailer showing just how Spider-Man and Happy Hogan are trying to recover and move on from the events of Avengers: Endgame.

So, we have a couple of big revelations out of this trailer.

For one, it looks like the hung for the “next Iron Man” is going to be a focal point of the movie. Is that going to be Spider-Man? Or, are they insinuating that Mysterio could fill that role? Peter Parker doesn’t really seem to handle this added responsibility well, so I imagine a big part of this flick is going to be him coming of age in a way.

Second, and the biggest in my opinion, is the introduction of the multiverse. We learn that The Snap tore a hole in the dimension. Mysterio, at least based on this preview, is a hero from a different version of Earth that ended up on our’s along with the Hydro Man and Molten Man we see him battling. I still think something’s amiss here, but that’s part of the fun, amiright?

Perhaps this is how they work mutants into the MCU? Regardless, this is definitely shaping up to be a surprisingly interesting movie because of what it could theoretically set up for the future. I imagine we’ll have a much clearer picture of where the MCU is going to go from here once Far From Home hits theaters.
