Zion Williamson’s Shoe SPLODED and Nike’s Stock Dipped

In case you missed it last night, hot action out of the Duke-UNC rivalry. Emerging stud, Zion Williamson, who’s likely to be the first pick in the NBA Draft (at least he was), had his shoe literally explode right off his foot. I mean, that thing SPLODED!

He suffered a ‘mild knee sprain’ out of it, so it looks like the damage wasn’t too bad. When Herbie Brooks initially showed it to me, I thought the kid’s foot literally split in two. But, that’s because I have terrible eyesight and need glasses.

Regardless, it wasn’t a good look for Nike.

Nike’s stock is down this 1.73% this morning! That’s crazy – this one thing happens and it’s enough to effect THE STOCK MARKET?!?! It marks a $1.2 billion loss in market value. WTF!?

I mean, yeah – it’s a bad look, sure. But, is it $1.2B bad!?!? WILD.

By the way, someone needs to check on Darren Rovell. He was tweeting about every aspect of this like the sky was falling….Williamson shouldn’t play again for Duke, Puma and Adidas are trying to capitalize on the publicity, insurance policies, Duke basketball ticket prices dropping, etc. etc. – I don’t know if the man has slept since Tuesday night.

Actually, Twitter as a whole seemed more concerned about the NBA Draft and Nike stock than whether or not the kid was okay. SMDH, y’all.
