Jim Ross Going HAM on an Old Episode of LiveWire Is Good for the Soul

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is known for being a bit of a kindred spirit…a ‘good ol’ boy’ if you will. At least in the minds of wrestling fans – he’s just Good ol’ JR! He’s one of the most iconic voices in all of pro wrestling, maybe even the greatest commentator of all time.

Maybe that esteemed reputation is why it’s hilarious to look back at this clip from an old 90s era episode of LiveWire.

If Jim Ross going HAM on callers and shitting on Rowdy Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan isn’t a big mood, I don’t know what is. Love it – Cowboy JR just shittin’ on anything that breathes.

Groaning as these backwoods hillbillies try to struggle through their calls – “BLESS HIS LITTLE HEART HE GOT NERVOUS.” Then, he outright loses it. “IF YOU’RE GONNA BE ON THIS PROGRAM, YOU GOTTA THINK A LITTLE BIT.”

This is LIVEWIRE, buddy! There’s no place for fuckin’ around on this show – it’s the gem of Saturday morning programming. Sidenote: can we get some old LiveWire episodes on the WWE Network? That’d be great.

If JR, fed up with everyone’s shit doesn’t have you fired up, then you need to check your pulse. “They don’t need people my age wrestlin’.”

A lot of folks will do things for money. He’s got an artificial hip – he really doesn’t belong in the ring.”

I watched the match and matter of fact, I fell asleep in the middle of it.”

Don’t fuck with JR.
