Just wanted to warn y’all up front. What we found with the Paul Heggen saga and us calling WSMV a bunch of idiots back in 2017 was that old people were getting a hold of our articles. They started sharing them without realizing I was dropping f-bombs left and right. Since we respect our elders at this esteemed media company, I wanted to let you all that I will be using foul language liberally in this post. If you want to click out of this, now’s your chance to do it. Okay, those of you left…..let’s address this tweet that Fox 17’s Chief Meteorologist dropped on us after the inclement weather last week.

Okay……I’m having trouble just figuring out where to start with this. My immediate reaction is, ‘what the fuck is wrong with people?’ That’s followed by a sort of embarrassed, ‘Nashville, we have to #BeBetter. This is shameful!”
Then, once I process my emotions, it hits me – “The Masked Singer?!?!?! All of these hateful messages towards someone who’s trying to help KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE because of the fucking MASKED SINGER?!?!?” What kind of trash ass television habits do you people have?
Shit, I’d rather watch eight fucking hours of meteorologists covering clear blue skies than watch that garbage ass show. Like…..there has to be a correlation between the people who would rather watch The Masked Singer than keep the community informed of fucking tornadoes in the area and people who complain about the service at fucking Sonic in those trash ass Hip Nashville pages on Facebook.
What the fuck am I missing by not watching The Masked Singer? Is it SO good that I will actively root against people being informed of severe weather that could potentially kill them?
I’m having difficulty fathoming the idea that I would be so engrossed IN ANY TV show that I’d be telling the meteorologist to shut up, get off the TV, or, best of all, ‘go take a pee break.’ Katy is doing her job to try and protect the people in our area, and y’all are calling her INCONSIDERATE.
Did no one stop to think about how fucking crazy that sounds?
What you’re essentially saying is, “I don’t care if those people know to get in their safe place or not. I HAVE to see The Masked Singer.”
I don’t think this indicative of how most people react to severe weather broadcasts, but the fact that it happens at all is pretty disgusting. These people should show some respect. But, it’s the voice that social media gives them, and that’s sad. People are dumb.
Good for Katy Morgan for taking this stand. I only wish she would’ve named names so that we could publicly shame people.
