Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, use #SoBrosMailbag to hit us up on Twitter.

Question:

Answer:

Looks like it’s going to be me, Mose, and Mrs. Mose. Right now, the plan is to fly up Wednesday and fly back home Saturday, electing to cover the shows our friends are running or competing at and getting back to catch ‘Mania from the comfort of our own homes. It’s tough to say how crazy it’s going to get, Steven. On one hand, we want to have fun and enjoy the experience. On the other, we want to get a ton of content out of the trip. I’m reminded of every SCI weekend, when we always end up finding room for both content and gettin’ shitty. My immediate reaction is, “it’s going to get Nick Nolte mug shot crazy,” but maybe not.

Then again, I tend to do my best work in a Nick-Nolte-mug-shot state. You might be surprised, or actually totally not surprised, at the amount of content I’m already producing in a Nick-Nolte-mug-shot state. So, let’s lean closer to Nick Nolte.

Question:

Answer:

I sat and debated on whether or not to give this a serious answer for five minutes, and finally settled on both.

Serious: Man, I love the setting at Butcher & Bee, and right there in East Nashville, you have a ton of entertaining spots nearby in case things go well and dinner spills over into a night of wild romance.

Not serious: Brent, there’s no better first date spot in Nashville than Shoney’s in Donelson. It’s a rare Shoney’s that also has a bar. Plus, you’re just a stone’s throw from Donelson Bowl, where you can enjoy a game of bowling for real real cheap.

Question:

Answer:

Dude, it was crazy. I can’t even fathom how hard his life must have been. Sure, the legendary stories of his drinking, farting, and fingering (look that one up or shoot me a DM, ’cause you damn sure won’t find it on HBO) are all fun and helped build him up as almost this mythical creature. But, seeing his physical state while shooting The Princess Bride, and just how hard his life was in those final few years….you’re right. It was sad! It left me with a feeling of sadness….from everything I’ve read about Andre, he didn’t deserve to live the way he had to. Truly one of the most legendary and respected men in wrestling history. One of my personal favorites as a kid, too.
