Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, use #SoBrosMailbag to hit us up on Twitter.
Question:
After Saros’ performance last night and Pekka’s struggles of late, is it too early to consider a shift of responsibilities in the sense of MORE starts for the Juuse?
— Beta Ray Greg (@BetaRayGreg) January 24, 2019
Answer:
Yeah – Both guys have comparable numbers when it comes to the percentages, but Rinne is still, I’d say, in that next level of guys just below Vezina contention. I mean, let’s not panic here. I’m good with the timeshare as it is.
Question:
Thoughts on Alice Cooper?
— Young Waffle House (@S_ATL_Wrestling) January 25, 2019
Answer:
Just in general? I don’t have too many thoughts on Alice Cooper. I’m glad he got hooked up with Jake “The Snake” Roberts and created that special WrestleMania moment. The school’s out for summer song is a staple of May listening. Still, I’d put him at #3 on the Alice power rankings behind Alice In Chains and Alice In Wonderland.
Question:
Feeling sick as a dog right now. Stupid constant weather change. What’s your comfort food when you’re down for the count?
— Steven McCash (@MC_Cash75) January 25, 2019
Answer:
Man, I was dealing with all that stuff earlier in the week myself. Now, the weather seems to be settling in on ‘cold,’ and honestly – there’s not much difference between my ‘sick food’ and my ‘comfort food.’ I’m like a literal bear – I just gorge myself on junk and hibernate whether I’m cold or I’m sick. I’m a sucker for good chili and pancakes (not together). But, my mom makes this killer sloppy joe casserole that I could eat probably 20 pounds of – it’s essentially sloppy joes, crescent rolls, and cheese baked into one euphoric dish. Nothing puts me in a coma quite as quickly – especially when we get some good crinkle cut french fries with it.
Question:
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a stuntman. My brother and I would jump off our garage into huge snow banks in the yard. We also used to jump our bikes off dirt ramps. The dream ended shortly after that nasty bike wreck when i cut my knee open.
— Armondo (@mightymondo) January 25, 2019
Answer:
I was dead set on being a professional wrestler. It was just in my blood – as a kid, I would eat, sleep, and breathe it. Even did some backyard wrestling. I don’t know – I’ve just always loved the entertainment aspect of it. Forget my bad knees, bad back, and five concussions!
Question:
How many @SoBrosNetwork members are there!?
— Brent Remadna (@RemadnaWKRN) January 25, 2019
Answer:
Believe it or not, I have created 24 accounts for people to write on the site. That’s not including all of the people who have said they wanted to join the podcast – all in all, I’d say that number’s around 30. However, things don’t always pan out – my team is probably sick of hearing me say this, but “no one realizes how much work goes into this website and this brand.” When you can’t pay people, you lose the ability to hold them accountable – just the nature of the beast. People are going to come and go. Only 18 of that 30 people have actually written an article for SoBros Network, but there are currently only 10 of us who contribute on a regular basis to both the site and the podcast. That’s the core of our team.
