Well, well, well – we happen to have stumbled upon the marketing gimmick of the decade. If you’re from Nashville, then you already know that the refined gentleman’s club, Deja Vu, is as much a staple of the Music City as the Ryman is. Perhaps no establishment in the area has evolved with the times quite like this famous titty bar. Nonetheless, even having such a legendary spot in the grand mythos of Nashville, even Deja Vu has to do a little grassroots marketing from time to time.
Now, they’re inviting government workers who are currently out of a job thanks to the government shutdown to come flash that bush for a handful of singles!

With the government shutdown still going on, businesses all over have been offering temporary jobs to federal employees.
Deja Vu Showgirls of Nashville is inviting federal workers to apply at the club.

They are also auditioning people for “select beautiful entertainers”, so “grab the stilettos and dust off that thong!” the club says.
I’ll tell you what, damn it, I’ve been saving that thong of mine for a rainy ass day. I’m not a government employee, but I do believe that I fit the bill as a “select beautiful entertainer.” If they’ll let me in, I GUARANTEE I will be able to win over management. It’s just a fact of life.
People talk about all the good things celebrities do in this town for people in need, but we have to give Deja Vu some credit for stepping up and really putting their money where their mouth is. It just might be money you don’t want to touch after its been in Deja Vu’s mouth. Props to them for being real servants of the community. Nashville owes you a debt of gratitude.
Finally, for the record, yes – I know that image is of the old Deja Vu, but I’m not going to go crawling the web looking for an updated photo. I don’t know what I’ll find.
