Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, use #SoBrosMailbag to hit us up on Twitter.

Question:

Answer:

Good question – what are we, Steven? A generation apart? I came of age on the tail end of real arcades in malls. There was one in the RiverGate mall when I was a teenager and I used to LOVE that place. Otherwise, all we had was the arcade at the bowling alley!

  1. The first thing that comes to mind is Opryland. So many memories at that place, and we could use a fun spot like that in Nashville now.
  2. In the same vein, I’m bringing back Starwood. For those of you who might not be reading in Nashville or are old enough to remember it, Starwood was the OG ampitheater in Nashville. I saw more than a few shows out there. That place provided me with some of the best memories of my life!
  3. SNICK on Nickelodeon.
  4. I always liked the indoor malls. Enough of this Providence stuff. I like a good old fashioned shopping mall where I can walk to all of the shops, and enjoy some good Chinese food at a food court. Opry Mills doesn’t count – Opry Mills is a tourist attraction.
  5. CDs – no one buys ’em anymore! That was one of my biggest hobbies as a teenager. We’d all collect CDs and see who had the best collection, we’d swap CDs sometimes. I imagine it’s like what baseball cards were in their heyday.

Question:

Answer:

Buffet-style Italian. Let’s get a good filling meal that’s going to keep us at the table for a while – lasagna, sausage and peppers, fettucine alfredo, tortellini. The whole nine.

First name is Rowdy Roddy Piper. I could sit and listen to that dude talk for hours. Imagine the stories he has! Second, I think I’d go with Triple H – just seems like he has a good mind for wrestling and business in general. I’d love to hear his philosophy on building a brand, developing talent, etc.. The Rock has to be at the table – need I say more? It’s the fuckin’ Rock! I’ve always been fascinated by Jake “The Snake” Roberts, too – such an interesting brain.

Finally, it’s Vince McMahon. One day, he’s going to green light a biography, whether he writes it or not, and we’re going to learn things we haven’t learned before. I can’t imagine the wealth of information and stories he is. Plus, I’d love to ask him a million ‘why’ questions – “why’d you do this?” “Why’d you do that?” Stuff like that – and YES, he counts as a wrestler. He held the WWF Championship back in the late 90s!

Keep the questions coming using #SoBrosMailbag – catch y’all next week!
