Music Monday: Tyler Childers

Welcome to the first edition of Music Monday, where I will be sharing a weekly suggestion of a particular musical group or an individual artist.

This may be a band or singer I’ve listened to for years, or could be a recent discovery.  Regardless, this will be someone who I’ve binged on heavily, and wish to share their talents with you: our lovely readers.

To lead this weekly series, I’ve chosen Tyler Childers.

A native to the Kentucky-West Virginia border, Tyler is a modern-American country singer and songwriter, whose music is as raw and southern as his Appalachian roots.

My suggestions:

Season to listen:  Year-round

Perfect for:  A night around the campfire

Must listen to:  Feathered Indians

Noteworthy tunes:  Whitehouse Road, Universal Sound, Follow You To Virgie, Charleston Girl, Tattoos, Nose on the Grindstone, Play Me A Hank Song

*He has an excellent live album available on Spotify:  Live on Red Barn Radio I & II

Enjoy!
