Apparently, Nashville Is the Most Romantic City in North America

If you’re like me, you’ve often wondered which is the most romantic city in all of North America. Not really….that was an outright lie and I apologize. I just had absolutely no idea how to kick this article off.

Anyone who loves music with a little twang in it will love visiting Nashville, Tennessee. Couples can wander up and down Honky Tonk Highway listening to live performances by up-and-coming artists and established bands. Many country legends, including Willie Nelson, Gretchen Wilson, and Dierks Bentley, got their start on Lower Broadway, and many of them return to their roots to support the city’s thriving country music community.

Wait. Wait. HOLD ON.

Is Gretchen Wilson still a thing? When is the last time anyone has heard anything about Gretchen Wilson? Are we legitimately calling her a country legend in the same vein as Willie Nelson!?!?

Okay – off my soap box now…continue…

“Downtown Nashville is the perfect place for lovers,” said Timothy D. in a TripAdvisor review. “There are plenty of romantic restaurants and sights.”

Yes – like this couple who is outright engaging in a rub and tug on the middle of Broadway. How romantic.

In 2017, more than 14.5 million people visited the Nashville area, which was a 4.6% increase over the previous year. The city’s tourism industry is growing, and that means more luxury hotels popping up throughout the city. The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center is the city’s largest hotel with more than 2,888 rooms available. The expansive atrium includes cascading waterfalls and plenty of greenery to make couples feel as if they’ve found a quiet oasis in the heart of Music City.

All in all, we think Nashville is the most romantic city in North America because there’s so much to do and see here, and yet couples can also be content doing nothing at all except sitting with a drink and enjoying the friendly Southern atmosphere.

Okay, the Opryland Hotel is romantic af. There’s nothing to joke about there. Hell, the Opryland Hotel could be the most romantic place on Earth. I wouldn’t argue against that.

If you’ve ever walked through Broadway and 2nd Avenue on the way to work at 6AM and smelled the piss and vomit that puddle up on the streets from the night before, you might laugh at this notion.

Nashville has become a partying epicenter, but “romantic?” I don’t know about that. Nashville attempts to bottle up the “good time” and sell it to would-be visitors. But, for tourists, yeah…maybe I can see how the charm of our city can be romantic. The bright lights, the restaurant scene, the music, the sex (Nashville is a stellar sex city, let’s be honest). Yeah, maybe it is pretty easy to romanticize it after all.

Is it the most romantic city in North America? YEESH – that seems like quite the claim. Have you even visited all the cities in North America, DatingAdvice.com?!?!?!

I mean….in my book…..until they start putting heart shaped hot tubs in the Omni, I’m putting Gatlinburg ahead of Nashville on my list of romantic cities…
