Heels 1, This Woman 0

I have only worn heels once in my life and it was a legitimately terrifying experience. Don’t see how you ladies and men who were heels do it, but God bless you for it. A lot of people are into heels, so props to all of you for supporting this industry and giving so many people jobs. I can’t count myself among you because I barely wear shoes to begin with – true story, I once went to check the mail barefoot in the snow because I didn’t want to put on shoes. This disposition gives me a real disadvantage when it comes to having a sense of professionalism.

Nonetheless, today we have a cautionary tale of what can happen if you don’t respect the heel. These aren’t something to be taken lightly, and if you do, you just may end up with a twisted, lifeless body.

First off, we have to mention the caption on this tweet. This is Grade A comedy gold, and I am proud of @Dnellicious for it.

Secondly, there’s a snap in there, too. My God – do we know whether this woman’s foot is broken or not? Did she break something in the shoe store? Or, was that her ankle snapping into pieces? Because that sure as shit looks like a broken foot. I don’t know that there’s an item of clothing or high fashion that has this sort of destructive potential. This went from funny joke to absolute disaster in one fell swoop.

It was like all the bones in this woman’s body disappeared and she just fell to a pile of muscle and goop in the middle of the floor at this shoe store. Absolutely wild stuff.

Folks, the lesson here is that you shouldn’t tempt fate like this. Respect those with the power to destroy you.
