Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, use #SoBrosMailbag to hit us up on Twitter.

Question:

Answer:

Man, Cad – this is a tough one. I know that you know those wings at WoW in Mt. Juliet were the undisputed king of wings in Nashville, but they are no longer with us (R.I.P.). So, that leaves this topic open for debate – I’d be curious to hear what SoBros Nation has to say about this question. Nashville isn’t exactly a “wing city,” and I honestly can’t say that any one spot comes to mind immediately.

I love the Old Bay wings from Buffalo’s down on 2nd Ave. Poppa Bear made us some wings from Publix once that were TO DIE FOR. Not sure what that says about our wing scene in Nashville.

Ultimately, you turned me on to the wings at JB’s Pour House in Hermitage, saying they might be the best wings in town. After that, I couldn’t NOT try them, right? I did, and I think it’s safe to say you were right. They get my vote.

Question:

Answer:

ONLY IF YOU PROMISE TO NEVER GIVE IT BACK! Also, real talk – you guys have a big show going down tonight in Tyrone, Georgia! Crowning the Action Wrestling Champion – we’re wishing you guys luck tonight! The SoBros team is going to have to make it down for one of these shows before long.

Question:

Answer:

I have a couple, Armondo for different reasons – first, Sam Cooke’s “Bring It On Home to Me,” because that’s what I did for New Music Thursday yesterday, knowing full and well that half of our viewers probably wouldn’t get the shtick. But, I practiced it and listened to it for approximately an hour straight yesterday.

Second, Wheeler Walker, Jr.’s “Drop ‘Em Out” – I saw Wheeler last night at the Cannery Ballroom. Fantastic show – dude’s one of the most creatively genius people on the planet right now. REAL music for REAL PEOPLE!

Question:

Answer:

I’m a “mountains guy,” Brent, so I’m always going to vote mountains or lakes. East Tennessee, Western Carolina, and North Georgia are loaded with fun spots. I’m also a big fan of Chattanooga – great nature scene, great food scene, very relaxed and slow-paced. Great way to kill a day.

Cadbury also wanted to weigh in on this one:

Of course, he’s referring to the Midnight Express – what else is in Smithville? – where the SoBros team celebrated a certain someone’s bachelor party and watched middle-aged women get fingered in the audience because there are apparently NO RULES whatsoever at this gentleman’s club.
