Alabama Intern Butch Jones Flexed on Tennessee All Night Saturday Night

The Third Saturday In October was a huge game for Alabama intern Butch Jones. For those of you who don’t know, Jones is the former coach of the Tennessee Volunteers, where he coached from 2013-17. He did not deliver a National Championship within those five seasons, so Phil Fulmer personally exiled him from Knoxville. That’s when Alabama head coach Nick Saban hired Jones to come join the Crimson Tide to call the food trucks and tell them to come practice when the players were ready.

But, as Jones showed he was capable of calling the taco truck and letting them know the team was ready for lunch, Saban began to imbue him with more responsibility as an offensive analyst.

I believe that’s how the story goes.

But, regardless, the big game ended in an outright bloodbath. Jones went back to Knoxville as a member of the enemy and the Tide slaughtered the Vols, 58-21.

Let’s look back at how Jones performed on the other side of this rivalry.

So, yeah – talk your shit about CBJ, Vols fans. But, remember – though he never beat ‘Bama, he also never gave up 58 like the Vols did on Saturday.

To the victor go the spoils…

But, if you think Jones getting a Gatorade bath was extra, just wait.

For those of you who don’t know, victory cigars are a huge part of the tradition of this game. Per Wikipedia:

In the 1950s, Jim Goostree, the head athletic trainer for Alabama, began another tradition as he began handing out cigars following a victory over the Volunteers.[10] Both teams continued the tradition for some time, though kept it secret due to NCAA rules concerning extra benefits and tobacco products. Alabama publicly restarted the tradition in 2005, though as a result, self-reported an NCAA violation.[11] Every year since 2005, the winning team knowingly violates the NCAA rule and reports the violation in honor of tradition

So, Jones got the chance to crack open a stogie for the first time since he’s been apart of this rivalry, and boy did it look like he needed it or what?

Unbelievable flex. Just going to put that out there because he knows exactly what he’s doing. I hope he immediately left Knoxville because Vols fans were absolutely reaming his ass on Twitter. Would not be surprised in the least bit to see people with pitchforks storming the locker room.

But, take a wild guess who doesn’t give a single fuck what Vols fans are thinking now!

This guy:

What a flex game. Flex of the week, for sure. Jones is enjoying the shit out of that cigar. He’s probably sitting somewhere still enjoying it. And, remember, Vols fans – your program is giving that man a couple hundred thousand dollars or so a month for the next couple of years to run errands for Saban. GBO. Long live Intern Butch.
