What is going on in the world of chicken wings? What the fuck is wrong with a good old fashioned buffalo wing? Parmesan garlic? Teriyaki? Literally, any regular flavor of wings?! First, we had the gold chicken wings. And now, folks – I am here to report that pumpkin wings are an actual thing, and you can get ’em at Buffalo Wild Wings. YUP.
Buffalo Wild Wings is joining in on the pumpkin flavor craze.
The restaurant introduced a new BBQ Pumpkin Ale sauce earlier this month.
According to their website, the sauce mixes ale with BBQ flavors and pumpkin spice for a taste of the season.
The BBQ Pumpkin Ale wings will be available for a limited time only, so don’t miss out.
I am as basic as they come. Literally, I’ll count down the days until Starbucks releases the PSLs back into the world. I have on my uggs as we speak. Truly – I can’t even. I’m as basic a betch as you will find, I promise. But, where do you draw the line?
Pumpkin candy, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin bread, pumpkin candles, actual pumpkins – that’s all well and good…but do we need it invading Buffalo Wild Wings? Like…..who reads that paragraph above and thinks, “that is for me?” Is Buffalo Wild Wings trying to pull in the basic demographic? Or, are the middle aged men who frequent B-Dubs on weeknights clamoring for pumpkin wings?
How did we get here? That’s what I’m getting at….because I’m not sure why we are even here in the first place.
I know it sounds like I’ve kind of taken an adversarial position to this….but I’m probably going to try it. Surely, I sound like an old grumpass on a lot of these blogs, but I promise I support freedom. I firmly support BWW’s right to produce pumpkin wings – because surely someone somewhere is happy about this, and I’m certain we can get some #CONTENT out of this whole thing. LFG.
