Podcast: WWE Money in the Bank Review, Big Cass’ Firing, and Memories of Vader

John Mosley was kind enough to join me on a new episode of the Checks and Championships Podcast, where we get into our WWE Money In The Bank review, among other topics surrounding the ‘E this week.

Were Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman the right calls to make as the briefcase holders? Man, who would’ve seen this amount of success for either of these superstars. You look back at Bliss’ time in NXT, and people were wondering if she’d ever get the call up, much less win the Women’s Championship FIVE TIMES. Same with Strowman, when he debuted in 2015, he was RAW. Now, he’s the guy.

We get into where this leaves Roman Reigns, because no wrestling podcast is complete without obsessing over The Big Dog and his place on the card.

*rolls eyes*

But, shifting gears, we get into the fun Nia Jax vs. Ronda Rousey match, project the rest of Rousey’s year.

Big Cass was fired this week, and we take a look at he and Enzo Amore’s fall from being one of the most over acts in wrestling just a couple of years ago.

It’s A.J. Styles vs. Rusev for the WWE Championship at Extreme Rules, and we could not be more ecstatic about the match. If Rusev wins, does that count as Nashville’s first pro sports championship? Fair question.

Also, check out Mose’s piece on Bruiser Brody dream matches. It’s awesome.
