Dominic Garrini and Jeff Cobb Are Gonna Beat the Hell out of Each Other

Very rarely does a card with major match changes not lose any steam. But, even with the losses of Gunner Miller and Mance Warner, Sunday’s Streets of Hate still has so, so much excitement around it. With Dominic Garrini defending the Bonestorm Title against Jeff Cobb, we’ve ended up with a dream match that I’m not even sure we deserve. On one side, we have Cobb with his Olympic wrestling ability and borderline super human strength. On the other, we have the cunning Garrini who will be looking to use his world class jiu jitsu on the big man. Garrini has been on such a run, especially under the SUP banner, that this feels like an immovable object vs. an unstoppable force kind of match-up.

An interesting aspect going in is the respect level between these two men. Garrini is never going to underestimate an opponent, let alone an opponent the size of Jeff Fucking Cobb. But, you can tell that this match-up is one that Garrini has been clamoring for. When asked about the match, Garrini had this to say:

“Jeff is one of the best in the world and I have nothing but respect for him. I’m looking to bring the fight and I know he will as well. The match is one of the most important for me in SUP because it’s the big match I’m looking for and the big match I feel I need to have to launch me.”

There’s no arguing that a win over Cobb would be a HUGE feather in the cap for Garrini who has put together an already impressive campaign in 2018.

This one has ‘big fight feel’ written all over it. But, the match could just as easily be taking place in a cage instead of a ring. Garrini is looking to take that next step in his career. Meanwhile, Cobb can win gold in his debut appearance at SUP. Two complete and utter badasses looking to dominate the other in front of a rowdy, boozed up SUP crowd…is it Sunday yet?

(Editor’s Note: Southern Underground Pro’s Streets of Hate comes to Nashville THIS Sunday, 6/10/18, at the Basement East. It’s an 18+ show – doors open at 1:30PM. Follow SUP on Twitter for tickets and the full card)
