Ladder Racing Looks Like Some Wild Shit

Big fan of games here. Just love most competitions. I’m a really competitive guy who loves to see where he stacks up against competitors from all walks of life. You tell me I can’t do something, and I will break my legs trying to prove you wrong. So, you can imagine my delight and amazement when I came across this clip of something called “ladder racing.”

As usual, here’s a link in case Instagram takes this down.

Wow – what a zany thing that looks like it could result in serious injury, broken bones, and maybe even death.

It’s bad enough you have to run while carrying a ladder. But, once you get to your destination, you then have to climb the ladder, pick it up and reset it, and then do it all over again two more times. This has to be physically taxing.

We’ve already established that it looks pretty dangerous. But, I want to understand the physics of this. How do they get the ladders to stick on the wall like that? Is it a strong magnet? Or is it strong velcro? We may never know, but you have to have a lot of faith in whatever it is to trust that ladder to stay where it’s supposed to. It’s hard enough to trust a ladder standing on its own like you’re supposed to use it.

All that said, I want to know where I can try this.

I’m looking up ladder racing venues in Nashville, but have a feeling I’m going to end up rigging some redneck shit to the side of a barn to accomplish this, making it infinitely more dangerous than it already was.

This is a golden #content opportunity, though. Can you imagine a SoBros ladder racing competition for our YouTube channel?

Alternatively phrased, do you like watching people die?
