This smart-ass superhero sequel suffers from us knowing what we’re in for. That part is inevitable, but Ryan Reynolds doesn’t disappoint by rocking the red and returning to his confident, cocky comfort zone he ridiculously relishes in. A new crew builds on the original, and Josh Brolin and Zazie Beetz are the standouts. Director David Leitch doesn’t change a thing about what captured our hearts in the first place. The smashing silliness, hideous humor, and glorified goriness explodes all over the screen in one fucked-up family film.
Deadpool 2 was all the raunchy fun you’d expect it to be! It had a ripped from the comic book pages swagger to it.
Deadpool 2 is fucking ridiculous.
