Welcome to the weekly Tennessee Titans draft roundup for the 2018 NFL Draft. Over the course of the next several weeks, I’ll be releasing this column once a week with my very professional journalism opinions. You’ll find everything from rumors to wild speculation to actual analysis (sometimes). Titan up!
*My final prediction for the pick….tough to say, but gut says that Marcus Davenport and Harold Landry will be off the board. I think this pick comes down to Josh Sweat, Rashaan Evans, and Sam Hubbard, and in my mind, Evans is the guy who gets the nod.
*Another new name has popped up on Jim Wyatt’s latest tour of the mocks. Charley Casserly of NFL Network has the Titans selecting G/C Billy Price at #25. But, I have a feeling this has more to do with the rising stock of Isaiah Wynn and Will Hernandez than anything. Both are likely to be off the board at #25, and some people still think the Titans will invest an early pick on the interior offensive line.
*The Titans spent some time with both Lamar Jackson and Mason Rudolph. It’s going to raise some eyebrows, but I don’t see it as anything more than due diligence. We’d all be massively surprised if either was picked at #25. Maybe they’re trying to gauge how much interest there is in these guys? Trying a roundabout way of feeling out who may be interested in trading up. I don’t know, but I wouldn’t read too much into it.
*I love Mike Mayock. One of the few national media guys who seems to actually know what he’s talking about when he’s talking about the Titans.
*Music City Miracles has an excellent breakdown of two key player debates between guys the Titans could conceivably take at #25: Hubbard vs. Sweat, and Ronnie Harrison vs. Justin Reid.
*Pretty cool of the NFL to allow the Tennessee Youth Football League to announce a draft pick this year:
On Day 3 of the NFL Draft (Saturday), members of the Tennessee Youth Football League will announce the @Titans sixth round pick from the @opry stage. It’s part of the NFL’s youth football-themed plan.

*As it stands, the Titans will have six picks in this year’s draft:
1st round – 25th overall
2nd round – 57th overall
3rd round – 89th overall
4th round – 125th overall
5th round – 162nd overall
6th round – 199th overall
It’s been a fun eight weeks since our NFL Draft coverage initially started. Hope you’re all planning to enjoy the festivities this weekend. It only comes once a year. Enjoy and Titan UP!
