Titans Draft Roundup 2018: “John Kelly or Nah?” Edition

Welcome to the weekly Tennessee Titans draft roundup for the 2018 NFL Draft. Over the course of the next several weeks, I’ll be releasing this column once a week with my very professional journalism opinions. You’ll find everything from rumors to wild speculation to actual analysis (sometimes). Titan up!

*Latest piece in our series of Tennessee Titans first round options feature Rashaan Evans. The former Alabama linebacker could be the missing piece at ILB for the Titans. Avery Williamson signed with the New York Jets, and Wesley Woodyard, as impressive as his 2017 was, isn’t getting any younger. The Titans could use a guy with Evans’ range and athleticism.

*With the releases of Sylvester Williams and Karl Klug, the Titans suddenly have a decent need along the defensive line. Ndamukong Suh was in town visiting over the weekend, but it remains to be seen where he’ll sign. If the Titans can grab him, great! If not, they’re going to need a starter.

*The Titans spent a lot of time with former Tennessee running back John Kelly at the Vols’ pro day. I wrote a while ago that I would welcome the addition of Kelly, and even in light of the Dion Lewis signing, I’m still on board with it.

*Cody Milholen of Tenn Truth wrote a nice argument against the Titans drafting Harold Landry, who appears to still be the most-mocked player to the Titans at #25.

*My first mock of the season will be out next week. Stay tuned.

*As it stands, the Titans still have six picks in this year’s draft (at the moment):

1st round – 25th overall
2nd round – 57th overall
3rd round – 89th overall
4th round – 125th overall
5th round – 162nd overall
6th round – 199th overall

That’s all I have this week – talk to y’all next Wednesday.
