Usually, I roll my eyes at old, nostalgic television shows trying to recapture that magic and have another good run. But, I mean, shit – did y’all watch Fuller House? That was trash ass garbage. I can’t believe I wasted my time watching that. But, for some reason, the Roseanne comeback tour is hitting me right in the feels.
The new nine-episode season of Roseanne will premiere on March 27, 2018 with a special hour-long episode. It’ll air on Tuesdays at 8pm ET, the same time slot the original series had for its final two seasons.
Blown away. Just absolutely astounded. How can you hear that beautiful saxophone and not immediately get chills up and down your spine?
I grew up watching this family and….HOLD UP WTF DAN’S ALIVE?!?!? WAIT, WHAT!?!? DAN IS ALIVE!?!?!
Okay, anyway….I grew up watching this family and I can honestly tell you that watching that intro brings back fond memories of childhood. Just takes me back, y’know? You hear that signature laugh from Roseanne herself and you just know shit’s about to get real. There’s going to be some real chuckles, but at the end of the episode, you’ll have learned a valuable lesson. That’s just the Roseanne brand, folks.
For me, my childhood was all about Roseanne and Batman: The Animated Series.
So, with all of this in mind, I’m going to give new Roseanne a chance. Actually, no – not only am I going to give it a chance, but I’m actually excited to see the first episode. Who’d a thunk it?
