Don’t Care to Apologize? Well, Just Be Prepared to Get a Gun in Your Face!

I am completely over Midtown. Don’t care to ever really go there again to be honest. That’s a lie. I’m just being dramatic. I’ll probably end up there within the coming week. But, it is getting harder and harder to tolerate. The loud, crowded bars, obnoxious drunk people. I’m just getting too old for this shit. And, now, apparently, if you cross the wrong individual, you’ll end up with a gun pointed at you.

Courtesy of Nashville Patch:

A 28-year-old man asked a fellow patron at Midtown’s Red Door Saloon to apologize to his friend. When he refused, the man pressed a gun against him, according to police.

According to an affidavit, Braxton Milam was at the popular drinking spot and told another man to apologize for something he said to his friend. When he did not, Milam reportedly pulled a .380-caliber pistol and pressed it against the other man.

SMDH. That is just no way to treat a fellow patron. You can’t help but wonder just what was said that was so devious, so dastardly, that it commanded an apology at gunpoint. Maybe it was a scare tactic. Maybe he had no intention of actually shooting the guy. We’ll never know because it doesn’t look like he actually shot the guy. Crisis averted.

But, if it was Midtown, I would guess the exchange went something like this:

Person #1: “Is that Blake Shelton?”
Person #2: “No. How dare you?” *pulls gun*

Milam, who police say admitted to drinking two beers and does not have a concealed carry permit, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful weapon possession, possession of a gun in a bar and possession of gun where prohibited by posted sign.

What kind of loose cannon has two beers and starts pulling guns on people? This is like a real-life reenactment of the Brian Pillman-Stone Cold Steve Austin feud. And, that’s quite unacceptable.

So, that’s it. It’s time to shut down Midtown for good. Just burn the whole place to the ground. Sorry.
