These Robot Dogs Might As Well Be the Grim Reaper

We’ve long since known that when the world ends, it’s likely going to be by the hands of the folks at Boston Dynamics. A couple of their creations have been featured on this very site before, and we have the latest nightmare-inducing video here today. It appears these guys have been working on some robot dogs that may or may not haunt you in your sleep:

Yeah, that’s kind of freakish. The first one just looks like a harmless robot dog – just stumbling around, a little upset that he can’t get the door open. But, then, that second one comes along with an opposable claw for a neck and head….yeah, that’s the only way I can describe it. It opened a door.

I don’t know if you guys caught that part….but the damn thing opened a door. What’s scariest about that is that he HELD THE DOOR for his friend! So, all it takes is one robot dog with a clawface and BOOM – all the robot dogs are storming your living room.

These things are also incredibly light on their feet. Makes me think they’re capable of lightning quickness and I wouldn’t even hear them coming.

At least you wouldn’t get infected with rabies from taking a bite from one of these things. Instead, you might get electrocuted. But, still – that’s a lot better than the embarrassment of having rabies in 2018.

Regardless of what we’ve seen here today, it’s obvious that Boston Dynamics is creating The Terminator. We should all be very concerned.
