It’s been well-documented that we’re big fans of Taylor Lewan on this web site. I actually just searched his name on here and am a little embarrassed by the amount of articles I’ve written praising the dude. I said at one point that he could come for Rusev’s crown as The King of New Nashville, but that just hasn’t happened yet. It’s hard to have more machismo than Rusev. Anyway, the fact is that Lewan just has a knack for speaking to the people. Rusev may be the King, but Lewan could definitely rock the title of “Nashville’s People’s Champ.” I’d be okay with that.
But, let me present to you all the latest resumé builder for Lewan:
Blocking out the amount of negative noise about them can’t be easy for the Titans though. Going into a playoff game where so many people are counting them out before the game starts would normally be a little disheartening. Lewan said it doesn’t bother his team though, and then likened doubters to sandwich toppings.
“Standard, dude. It’s standard,” he said. “Like pickles on a sandwich, that thing just comes all the time. So, it is what it is. We just got to focus on what’s important, and that’s these guys in this locker room.”
Same, dude. Same. Negative noise – don’t want to hear it. Don’t need to hear it. What’s really important? The guys and gals writing this blog. Maybe that’s not as tough and pressure-laden as playing professional football, but y’know, I can really feel the strong connection here. ‘Pickles’ is such a good term for doubters, or as we call them around here, ‘haters.’ I honestly don’t know why I didn’t think of this first. Probably because I’m not the creative genius Lewan is.
“Stoney, why do you have to curse so much in your writing?” Fuckin’ pickle.
“Does this web site ever write meaningful journalism?” Duh, yeah all the time, PICKLE.
“Don’t you think you should cut back on the #GinFriday, Stoney?” PICKLE PICKLE PICKLE.
