Kane Is Joining the Fight to Keep Greg Schiano From Coaching the Vols

I don’t think there’s ever been so much coverage of breaking news, as it happens, on this site in the entire history of our company. But, the story just keeps getting bigger and better. Rumor has it that a press conference was scheduled for tonight, but it isn’t happening. They’re holding off until tomorrow. Probably because Kane himself swooped in and dropped the hammer. We’re receiving several reports, though still unconfirmed, that the deal is off.

This is unbelievable. Not only has John Currie completely botched this hiring, but he has somehow turned the entire Vols fanbase against him. Now, you have legislators, boosters, people coming out of the wood work to rail against this decision. This is as bad a public relations disaster as one could make.

It’s so bad that now prospective mayor of Knox County (that’s right – Kane’s trying to be a mayor), is trying to block the move. And, when the same guy who took jumper cables to Shane McMahon’s testicles says stop, you damn well better stop. No one needs to be set on fire, chokeslammed, or buried alive here. Just do what Mayor Kane says and nobody gets hurt.

Just forget this ever happened, and go on to hire Mike Leach.
