In case you haven’t heard, they’re putting together a reboot of Hellboy. It’s slated for a 2018 release, and the sonofabitch is RATED R! Now, listen – high school me was a fan of the original Ron Perlman Hellboy movies, but I always felt there was definitely room to make the property darker. So far, they have Ian McShane and Milla Jovovich on board, with Stranger Things‘ David Harbour playing the big red bastard. If you need a refresher, that’s this guy:
Rather unassuming, no? Not a knock on Harbour. He’s a big dude, but today, they released the first photo of the guy playing Hellboy and holy shit. Is this even a human?

Now, I believe people in Hollywood are totally honest, and there are no special effects involved in this. That has to be Harbour’s real body. And, it’s sick. Even if it’s not, man good for you. Looking jacked diesel. Can you imagine how much action Harbour’s going to pull from this picture alone?

This is a terrifying looking entity. That’s what I expect an evil demon slayer to look like. Like a got damn hardass. I’m so on board with this reboot, you can probably see my boner from space.
