Check Out This Weird Bigass Chicken Cadbury Saw at the Wilson County Fair

If you’re from middle Tennessee, you already know about one of the region’s greatest traditions: the Wilson County Fair. But, if you’re not from middle Tennessee, let me try and provide a little context for you. It’s YUGE. Lebanon hosts the biggest shindig in the whole damn South every August. Last year, I’m pretty sure a million people came out to see the bright lights and ride all of the totally-not-dangerous-but-still-a-little-scary rides. I have no credible sources for that, but thankfully, this is a blog and we don’t need credible sources for what we do. Those are just the rules, folks.

I’m 31 years old, and as long as I’ve been alive, the Wilson County Fair has been a staple of my life. That seems sad as I type it out. But, it is what it is. It’s exciting – there’s all kinds of rides, games, activities, etc. The food is exquisite – if you can put it in a deep fryer, they’ll serve it. Personally, my go-to is a Polish sausage, some fried green tomatoes, and an old-fashioned cream soda. I have this tradition of buying the First Lady a nice piece of jewelry from some gypsies. There’s a replica of an old-timey town. It’s just an all-around good time.

Anyway, we had initially planned on getting out and covering the Wilson County Fair the same way we covered the Watertown mile-long yard sale. But, it freakin’ crept up on us. Now, we’re struggling to find anything we can to cover the fair. So, with that said, check out this big weird ass cock Cadbury saw and posted randomly in the SoBros Slack group:

Cadbury called this “the LeBron of chickens,” but I can’t distinctly say he’s wrong. That chicken has some long legs. Definitely looks unusual.

So, there it is. There’s your SoBros Network coverage of the Wilson County Fair. Take care.
