Winter Nights Are Still Here, Freshen Up Your Camp Fire Playlist

April is quickly approaching, but for most of the country, winter hasn’t quite released her grip on us.  I enjoy all seasons, warm or cold, but I especially look forward to the long, cold nights that winter brings.  Warming up by a small, backyard fire is the perfect place to escape for the evening with a beverage of choice and select tunes for reflection.

If you’re like me, my winter playlist must be able to portray a particular mood and feeling that represents winter: bare and simple with a hint of gloom.  Don’t get me wrong, I love upbeat, positive music…just not until the decent weather can accompany it.

As we go into a few more weekends of brisk nights and cool temps, I’ve provided below a hint of what I’ll be listening to by the fire until spring arrives.  I’ve listed these in an order that transitions well as the night passes and my glass gets lighter, but playing on shuffle never hurt anyone I reckon.  Enjoy:
